The King, The Prince, and The Soldier

“You are weak, you are broken, you are pathetically human.”

Now deceiver, tell me, do you intend to grieve me with words?
Tell me something new, for my truths are not built upon your lies.
I am weak, broken, and human, yet I stand before you dauntless, triumphant.

You, corruption, aimed your fiery arrow at my heart to drag me to destruction.
From my birth you devised my fall, like Adam in the garden.
Yet by grace, I rise against you, vice, provoked but alive.

You, hatred, raised your blade to strike me down, but I did not crack.
Your hand came against me, anguish, but I did not crumble beneath it.
With every blow I received, I grew stronger against you, betrayer.
Though you bent my knee, I never bowed to you, death.

I rise to fight my enemies, for I am a soldier.
The enemy of the King, is my enemy by proxy.
Wickedness, who slaughters my brothers and sisters,
only faces unrelenting wrath at the edge of my blade.
My enemy remains unforgiven, with no place before me.

No trap laid to snare me, no foe who stands in my way,
not even death can deny the path that my King has set before me.
He leads me to still waters and selfless uprightness.
Evil has no comfort where my foot finds itself!

He whose name is not worth the breath it takes to utter it.
The blasphemous one, he has sinned against me, by plotting in me treason.
he has wronged me for the final time. Of him, I have had enough!
I despise him to my very core. May he fear that he remains unforgiven.
With the weight of the Prince’s life hanging over his head, as his judgement.

Where is your strength now? Where is your anger?
Where is your stature? Where is your formidability?
Flee from me evil, for the King’s wrath is hot on your tail!!!

My strength is not my own, thus I remain undefeated.
This is my victory over all that comes against me, and I stand unshaken.
I wage war against all that brings darkness against me.
Against that which seeks to snuff out my Light, and take my Life away.
The Lord’s anointing is greater than any treason!
By honoring my beloved Prince, the King blesses me with favor,
thus I am protected, and His light shines upon me.

Let war be waged against the enemies of my King, for their time is short!
Against their flimsy strongholds in which they hide,
my King comes to destroy all that they think they have built up!
The Lord will march over them and trample them to dust
for what they have done to His people.

His anger burns hotter than mine, like a flame.
It’s reflected in my eyes, and His strength rivals anything darkness can conjure.
When He marches I will be by His side, ready to follow my Lord into battle!
Be gone you blasphemous destructions of the world,
I await the day that our suffering is made no more!

The King has heard the pleas of His people,
and wages war on death by the blood of His Son.
He fights for His kingdom, to save the ones who are taken hostage!
He will return from the battle with our beloved in hand,
as we welcome them back to their homes!
And you, oh sin, will be on the striking stone for all that you have done!
He will strike you down so that you rise no longer.

You, fear, threaten me with death, and expect me to falter
But a soldier lives knowing one day they will fight their final battle.
There is one thing that fear cannot conquer,
What which is more permanent than even death,
That thing is Love.
When we fight for what we love, then death is our glory.
For the glory of the Prince, long live the King.
