A piece of my mind;
A fragment of an asteroid.
The power to destroy
Makes me evermore paranoid.
Just beyond my eyes,
it takes shape in my head.
The incomprehensible void:
empty space, silence, and dread.
Kept in a locked box,
My best efforts couldn’t hide.
Until someone offers
Themselves to take a peek inside.
Then I show them the key
Lucky you, lucky me.
finally someone who will see
The darkest manifestation of my effigy.
Don’t ask,
Don’t pry,
Don’t provoke.
Don’t cry.
Don’t go looking for the abyss
Because it already sees you.
Its gaze is just as endless,
as the memory you cant undo.
